Big Blue Ropeboard Jam

Ropeboarding

Displays from the pros.

Ropeboarding will be attending Big Blue for it's first time in assoc with Brock Ropeboards. The Invitational Jam will be awesome and a big hit with the crowds. Riders will be busting tricks that most people have never seen unless they have caught ropeboarding on tv or online and the best part about it is you can try too at the "have-a-go" workshops that Brock will be hosting in Big Blue.

Ropeboarding has evolved into an extremely technical board-sport. Every day new, more complicated and risky variations are attempted. As the rope board is now, there are so many tricks and styles available. After mirroring every snowboard and skateboard grab in the book we moved on to those with a 180 to 540 "shove it" in and out of the grab (either backside or front side), this made it all the more complicated.

One of the most important tricks to mention is the 360 shove-it Christ-air. This led the way for variations only dreamed of by vert riders and wake boarders alike. This trick is landed by throwing a 360 shove-it from the feet to either hand while extending torso and legs in "the shape of a crucifix". Then bringing the board back to your feet before your swing is grounded.

There are two main stances. Regular and switch reverse. Regular is with both feet on the board with the rope in-between your legs. Switch reverse is with you lead foot on the other side of the rope.

Ropeboarding is still evolving, the possibilities are endless.
