Parkour

Parkour

Parkour or free-running is all about getting from one point to the next in your path in a manner that is certainly much more interesting than that which most people choose in their daily lives, and consists of various acrobatic and gymnastic movements.

Stairways, railings, tables, trees, boulders, walls, gates, hedges... all of these are usually considered obstacles to your average pedestrian, but to free-runners they present challenges to be overcome in an athletic and stylish manner!

Parkour demonstrations will be given on the incredible Freesports Park, by some of the most talented runners in the business.

"PLAY!"

Parkour/Free Running workshops will be held in an effort to educate young people of the dangers of Parkour and Free Running as well as teaching the core basics of the discipline.

Parkour Foundations operate in Portsmouth, UK and partake in many events all over Great Britain. Working with partners and sponsors, they aim to promote Parkour & Free Running in a positive and respectful manner. Learning, teaching and training is what they believe in as an organisation.

The "PLAY!" Parkour/Free Running workshops will consist of a 30 minute session with a maximum of 20 participants per workshop. The workshops cater for 11-16 year olds and a disclaimer form must be signed before partaking in the workshops.
