What's on?

Mountain boarding will again have a high profile at Big Blue 2010 featuring:

  • PLAY!
  • Extreme Freestyle Demonstration Park
  • International Freestyle Competition

The presence of the ATBA-UK, the national body for mountain boarding in Britain, demonstrates that Big Blue has earned its place on the calendar of top class events along with the British National Series.

With mountain boarding now recognised as one of the most attractive, versatile and accessible sports for young people, the ATBA-UK tent will be there to provide information about Centres, venues and events across the UK and Europe. Working in association with top partners in the industry, such as MBS (Europe), noSno, Trampa and Ride-The-Hill the ATBA-UK tent will be aiming to showcase all aspects of the sport, from easy ways for beginners to get involved to free riding in the hills to Boarder Cross racing on purpose built tracks.

With a focus on safety and care for young learners, the dedicated Have-a-Go area will be organised and managed by one of the top UK Centres with ATBA-UK qualified and approved instructors, policies and procedures.

The hugely popular freestyle demonstrations on each day of the event will feature national and international stars from the UK, USA and European Circuits through 2010 and will include (tbc):

World Champion confirmed for 2010 - Tom Kirkman; British Champion - Joe Dickson; Downhill Champion - Ben Tweedie; European and Big Blue ’08 Champion – Arno Van der Verwe; U18 Champion – Joel Treliving
